DAYFRAME / PRINTING HELP
A small check before you print can save a sheet of paper. Here’s how to get the page you saw in the preview.
1. Match the paper
Choose A4 for 210 × 297 mm paper or US Letter for 8.5 × 11 inch paper. Use the same paper size in your printer dialog. These sizes are similar but not interchangeable: a mismatch can scale the calendar or move it off-centre.
2. Match the orientation
Pick portrait or landscape in Dayframe, then check that the printer dialog agrees. The calendar already includes a margin of about 10 mm. When printing from the browser, choose no extra margins and turn off its headers and footers. Different browsers may name these settings differently.
3. Check before committing
Use Print / Save as PDF and look at the preview. Check the first and last dates, the edges and the page count. A monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, two-month, six-month or yearly overview is one page. The full-year pack is twelve pages.
4. Try the direct PDF
Download PDF creates a vector file locally from the same date and layout model as the preview. Text is selectable and fonts are embedded. It includes all pages together and supports Latin and CJK notes. Unsupported characters produce a clear error; use SVG or browser print for those notes. The PDF is not a tagged accessible document. The SVG option saves the underlying vector page; a twelve-page pack downloads twelve SVG files and your browser may ask permission for multiple downloads.
If the edges are clipped
Check paper size first. Some physical printers need larger non-printable margins; in that case use Fit to printable area in your PDF reader. This slightly reduces the sheet. Dayframe cannot determine your printer’s hardware margins, so review a test page before printing a full pack.
Printing from a phone
Download the PDF and open it in a PDF viewer if your mobile browser has limited print controls. The on-screen page scales down for preview; the downloaded file keeps the selected physical paper size. You can scroll through every page of a full-year pack before downloading.
